Highlights: Segment 3
It’s been way too long since I last posted, and I vaguely remember somehow wanting to keep up my blog, and making this a weekly special? Yeah, well that one kinda went down the drain, but I do feel I should commit a bit more to it, but of course without straining it too much. Therefore, some items featured here will still have that ‘quirkyness’ about them, but most are just items I would looove to buy myself. So, just as ‘always’: a sale you can’t miss, a must-have guide and a very tempting dvd omake!
Segment 3
Week 44 – Thursday, November 4.

Koromo Amae – 1/8 PVC by Alter
Found on: amiami (3300 yen)
With the amount of glamorous, high-profile figures that have been released over the past couple of months, it’s no wonder this little gem got a bit snowed under. While she only had a little screentime in the anime compared to the amount of episodes the show offered, she still managed to gather quite an impressive fanbase. I suppose her signature ears say it all, one of the reasons why she wears this ‘Alice in Wonderland’ look so well. Still not enticed?
Then hereby I would like to appeal to all the loli-lovers of you, and take a second look. There. Case closed.

Bakemonogatari Anime Complete Guide Book
Found on: CDJapan (3000 yen)
To be completely honest, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the anime show itself. I have a lot of respect for SHAFT’s work, but sometimes, even a ‘fan’ has to admit when one has gone to far. Nevertheless, it doesn’t have a lot to do with this release. Ever since I spotted the announcement of this ‘premium deluxe guide box with goodies’, my interest was piqued. And why not? It’s definitely not an average animation guide; no, this release consists of 5 nice & slim booklets, (together roughly the size of 3 DVD cases) packed with illustrations by VOFAN, behind the scenes segments/interviews with the staff, (including the man who made it all possible: Shinbo), a newly drawn manga, specials on the artists that collaborated on the show, and best of it all: a set of bookmarks and B5-sized posters of all the heroines! No Bakeholic could ever resist this, right?
Which is your favorite?

Talking Kurara mascot (Kuragehime first press DVD/BD vol. 1)
Found on: amiami (4020/5160 yen)
Before this show even started airing, my hopes for it were already quite high. It’s not often that noitamina misses the mark with their shows, and even if it’s just happens to be that last season’s House of Leaves had to be an unfortunate part of it, it doesn’t mean they’re still going strong. If you’ve watched shows of them before, you know what to expect. Or maybe not. For some it’s heaven, for others it’s bland, but I’ve put my mark on this show! (And.. everyone is going on the Luka Toeto plush tour, but I’m ‘doing’ Kurara this year!)
A bunch of misfit ‘fujoshi’. Do I need to say more?
‘Til next week(?)/month(?!), either way, hopefully it won’t be this long this time!
Mhmm okay i thought i completed my collection of bakemonogatari but no!
i need that guide book! nao!
Do it
It seems to sell really well, so I hope you can still ensure yourself a copy
